ROLE OF A RETURN TO WORK CO-ORDINATOR
The Victorian WorkCover Authority officially launched the 'Role of a Return to Work Coordinator' training program during WorkSafe Week last year.
The two day program covers:
- the function and requirements of a return to work coordinator
- the development of the skills required to perform the role
- how to coordinate the return to work of an injured worker
- how to complete meaningful return to work plans
- how to effectively monitor return to work to ensure its ongoing success and sustainability
- how to communicate effectively with injured workers
- how to communicate with and utilise the support of others involved in the return to work process.
This training program was developed in consultation with key employer associations, Victorian Trades Hall Council and representatives of the Self Insurers Association Victoria. It is also fully endorsed by the Victorian WorkCover Authority.
